1. He allured the travelers with his radiance,
News that deafened the horizons' hearing.

2. The night of events became dark through him,
And the dawn ceased its illumination.

3. Everyone grieved for the one who gathered
The heights of glory and ethics.

4. Make haste to your solid judgment, for it
Turns fate - nothing can stop it.

5. Time etched in its pages
Each gathering warns of parting.

6. What do you hope for from your time
After attachment to mortality?

7. He envied the layers of graves over him,
They climbed over him with layers of soil.

8. Death is the goal of all creation,
The generous raced to meet it.

9. When we thought hardship would turn to joy,
The troops of war bared their arms.

10. It was nothing but the full moon whose brightness lasted
Until the hand of fate pelted it with meteors.

11. He scorned remaining with mortality,
And set out to the eternal abode.

12. The fleeting ones lacked accompaniment,
So the riders embarked to the Everlasting Companion.

13. For that majesty, shoulders slumped in sorrow,
And we lost the best of rafters.

14. O you who commanded patience - your patience is gone -
Let my tears speak of burning passions!

15. Leave the pens to lament in their ink,
And let elegy soothe on pages.

16. Woe to knowledge whose land lies barren,
Justice is stripped of its cloak.

17. The winds of virtues calmed in his absence -
Refinement waned after sincerity.

18. How many ambiguities your understanding unraveled -
Minds were baffled though experts tried their best.

19. How many principles in the wilderness after he sat
Hopes squatted, failing to reach him.

20. To whom shall we look when mounts travel
Between a Levant that fades and Iraq?

21. Blossoms wilt with fettered stems,
Pebbles trill their song of sorrow.

22. When griefs complained and halted,
The breeze of your praise would breathe life.

23. When praise was inhaled before them,
Necks would crane in intimacy.

24. O you who gently mixed bodies in harmony -
Tread gently, for striving leads to failure!

25. The heir of glory from a people who inherited
The legacy of honor deservedly perished.

26. For them, banners of majesty were raised,
They shone in the field of racers.

27. Beacon of guidance, pillar of abstinence,
Sanctum of the chaste, sought of provisions.

28. His nature was gentle, his assembly serene -
Like the sun in its distance and rising,

29. Like a blossom in its beauty, the full moon in
Its loftiness, flowers in bloom.

30. However much I praise another, his traits
Confined it - praise of him is absolute.

31. O heir of the Prophet's lineage, combining
Knowledge, morals, and pedigrees.

32. O son of the Messenger - it is a means
To ascend to the highest place, O exalter!

33. The Book's grapes flourished by your merit
God's praise suffices as your eulogy.

34. My master - I fell short in praising your merits,
The range of stars cannot bound them.

35. And who can enumerate your glorious qualities?
Counting pebbles and sand is inadequate.

36. It grieved the graves I visited - in them
A protected soul from our side lies.

37. Fate inscribed lines on them which state:
“You must meet mortality”.

38. The book's translation and its crux disappeared
Among beneficial writings in the appendices.

39. How many elite rest in their graves as if
Pearls lying safely in their depths!

40. Tell the clouds: trail your hems toward him
And play with your flashing bolts.

41. He who rain down on people with his palm departed -
Sprinkle his resting abode with your dripping rain.

42. If your voice is in the waters - pour them,
A downpour to wet the thirsty ground.

43. Many were grieved when the Judge of Judges
Died and vanished into the earth.

44. You clothed them in the garment of dignity, relieving
Their struggle and strain.

45. They enjoy the shade of your glory whenever
The heat of misfortunes flare up.

46. When you parted, companions lost direction -
The carpet of sympathy and care folded.

47. They lifted your bier, heads bowed down -
Each a friend of fate's decree.

48. Yet your destiny is eternal bliss
That preserved bodies from decay.

49. Strange that the sea of generosity,
The mountain of guidance flowed over necks!

50. If they carry you on shoulders - for long
You were carried in hearts.

51. Or lift you on platforms - for long
You were raised on pulpits and litters.

52. Though you traveled to Paradise, we pray
With burning passion and yearning.

53. If you witnessed the sorrow of those left behind
You would rein in your departure, so compassionate!

54. If the night of sorrow darkens,
May your words light it, so eloquent!

55. Send your specter in visions to revive
The dead joy of one who longs.

56. You made patience costly, just as
You made tears cheap in depths.

57. If clouds leave the land, I will water
Your tomb with my pouring tears.
