Across the white parchment and the dark ink

3. You adorn the necks of steeds with talismans
Made of two kinds of composition, prose and verse

4. The parchment trembles in awe of you and turns red
When it transmits seas from your ten fingers

5. As if the garden of poetry is an aroused lover
Embroidered by the wristbands of ink

6. The essence of this king is refined sweetness
With red flags and red parchment

7. No garden of song visited by life
Where spring braids its foliage with drops of rain

8. The nests of birds sing in its branches
And boughs of acacia dance in green gowns

9. It extends hands of narcissi
Sealed by ambergris to cups of wine

10. The cheek of roses guarded by the sword of its stream
And the smile of light prohibited by the tender blossoms

11. Its mirrors compete in beauty with the sky
And the stars of flowers sparkle over the flowers

12. When the palm of the morning breeze strokes its light
The smile of the blossom exhales the scent of musk

13. More fragrant than your praise in intimacy
And more beautiful than your image, my fawn

14. I'm amazed that he describes an imaginary beauty
While lions scatter in fear at the sight of him

15. When it harbors the ferocity of war
Fury blazes within the depths of the sea

16. And if warriors clash in the chaos of battle
Human blood ripples in the surface of the moon

17. Yours is the manifest virtue and felicity that
Descriptions fall short and inadequate

18. A horizon you adorned became full moon
And Granada struts vainly over Egypt

19. The crown of kingship adorned by your beauty
And kingdoms prided by you, O son of Nasr

20. With your resolute good fortune unmatched
And radiant magnanimity and glory

21. Fate rolled down the flag of victory
Bringing pride to the lands of Islam with spreading and victory

22. And extended the shade of security when you frustrated the enemy
Thus the sublimity of the kingdom is recited with extension and shortening

23. When the hall convenes for consultation
And opinions are disturbed by every man of prestige

24. You opine without contention an excellent perspective
And propose enlightened views gleaned from the dawn

25. When the looting steeds are victorious at daybreak
They gain triumph through your auspicious view

26. You continue to protect the glory of the noble
And drag the train of pride over the eagle

27. To you goes the pride of the faith and heroism over the enemy
That you have attained, O son of the writer, the pride

28. So Eid al-Fitr congratulates you, for you are its celebration
And praises what you are blessed with of precious gifts

29. You mended my broken wing and furnished it
And facilitated the difficult side of time for me

30. You established me atop the summit of honor
And granted me nobility unbeknownst to me

31. You made my hopes flow sweet and continuous
And eternalized my remembrance and raised my worth

32. So my days are a celebration of joy and wishes
And all nights of life are for me as the Night of Power

33. I became fortunate in the best blessing
That even abundant gratitude falls short
