1. The stars shine bright at your command,
Drawing light from the Caliphate’s sun.

2. The meteors reflect the moon’s glow,
As the moon reflects the sun that shines at noon.

3. In them his qualities are plain to see,
Just as his father's shone for all to see.

4. Numbered third in succession's count,
Honored stations for the noble's mounts.

5. They rose under the Sauds’ wise rule,
Quickly full, though lately horns did curl.

6. Guiding lights from the horizon of right,
To the partisans rays of hope unfurl.

7. O Lord who raised the glories of our past,
To heights no former ones attained at last,

8. Your sons like fingers on a hand dispersed,
And now the hand of Islam they have blessed.

9. Branches nurtured in your grove of grace,
Which your clouds of favour rain down apace.

10. When I recall their manners and address,
I know not if morals or arts impress!

11. Sheltering rain in time of direst need,
Spears piercing hardened armor with speed,

12. Swords lighting the path of righteousness, should they be drawn
March on and make the rival blades withdrawn.

13. Enemies of faith do quake and shy
From them, as prey from lions straying by.

14. Great Hajjaj, their elder and their chief
Has much esteem, though boastful and not meek.

15. When his face greets you at the break of day,
You'd think the rising sun fills the bay.

16. When his curls cloud the sky, fresh downpours bring,
Unlike false rain from heat, a blessed spring.

17. If his forehead weeps, tears not in vain,
Still the rose’s dew, though petals wane.

18. The mantle of power he bears with pride,
His will a blade, Saud’s grace his taste and guide.

19. His sons like strung pearls his glory festoon,
An empty collar now a jewel strewn.

20. Blooms in the meadow of beauty abound,
Ever verdant, their scent wraps all around.

21. Stars in the sky’s expanse, kindred, aligned,
Each one with the other's beauty entwined.

22. None but blossoming youth, goblets filled up,
At beauty's spring their thirst to slake.

23. You brought them a time of mercy out of turn,
Where the pious hopes and prayers might yearn.

24. But it was a seat of fortune, ever-flowing,
With wishes, gifts and bounty overflowing.

25. You spurred your steeds into the racing field,
Where grandsires disciplined, their merits sealed.

26. Stars of the shining cavalry’s vanguard,
Over them cycles of perfection stand guard.

27. Keys to unlocked triumphs time and again,
Strongholds of foes thereby brought down.

28. Dawn’s glow makes Ashhab’s coat flow,
Dimming the meteors’ flashes that show.

29. Don’t you see the meteors, greeting the morn,
Extinguished when daylight is reborn?

30. Ahmar’s rose-red flank was dyed,
By a brook of his blade bloodied.

31. His poems sing of vanquished foes,
As if flames stoked with fuel glows.

32. If they gallop in the chaos and confusion of fight,
Their glow makes dark as day the night.

33. However lightning tried in its zigzag path,
It could never outrun his steed Ashqar’s wrath.

34. Clad in youth’s sheen his hide personifies,
All other adornment thereby nullified.

35. Adham cloaked in darkness roams,
Having plunged in dawn’s deepest oceans.

36. His turban crested by beaded pearls,
His dangling earrings outshine all girls.

37. No crescent saddle on him placed,
He scorned it, the bare back his taste.

38. Abyad in his natural clothes was dressed,
Sometimes, his trappings did the greys suggest.

39. His cloak perfumed when night winds blew,
Its hem by darkness' dye imbued.

40. Sa’ida, rising up into the sky,
Challenging the horizons up on high.

41. She salutes the moon, her banner unfurled,
Above her flies the dawn flag in the world.

42. She rears up, pride in posture shown,
Whenever banners try to make her prone.

43. Outstretches a brown arm, muscled and lean
As the bare spear, though strong, makes a scene!

44. She circles, evades, prances and jumps,
Rising up to the sky, then down she slumps.

45. Just yesterday, some branches she outgrew,
Which despite her were severed by fate's view.

46. She longed for her home, raced back to rejoin,
Her old path with haste, no pause or coin.

47. On her back, Manif’s castle rose,
Where messengers to the stars come and goes.

48. In all her states it showed its moods,
With fine trappings whose style eludes.

49. Crowned at its top, girt with belt on its waist,
Anklets on its flanks, a sight of grace.

50. Straight and tall, its dome scraped the spheres,
As if asking the heaven about earthly affairs.

51. Blessed are those who saw his palace span,
Victorious lands witnessing the rise of man.

52. In it dawns break for stars their vision to reap,
If only similars gathered in its keep!

53. Manifest visions of moons and stars abode,
Victorious lands witnessing the rise of ode.

54. The grandeur of that wondrous scene,
Amazed the guests, if you know what I mean!

55. Then your grandson's brood appeared,
Clearing doubts for those who neared.

56. No frightened party, no faltering feet,
No startled herd, no dread they meet.

57. No troubled heart, no reckless whim,
No absent mind, no thought made dim.

58. Those heirs of the Caliph came together,
Prepared for whatever misfortune may unfurl.

59. Rightly done, following the Prophet's way,
Whose pride increases day by day.

60. Woe to those who his merit deride!
Crescents have phases, yet fullness bide.

61. The sun's shadow increases its height,
Until visible, though now to the right.

62. If the moon's loss seems a trend to you,
Full moons will follow, this is true!

63. At noon the debt is paid, though decreased,
Wisdom in meanings prayer time released.

64. If the falcon's wings are clipped in part,
Swifter it dives, to prey still smart.

65. Cows we milk completely eve by eve,
To morn with udders full they heave.

66. Lessened tithe means surplus wealth intact,
Sword blades are honed, the blood they attract.

67. You who raised the pillars of our glory,
Putting critics of renown to shame fully.

68. The crown of pride should now impale,
Rising to the heights, prevail.

69. Dawn in the cave, with you is born
A radiant glow - your adorn.

70. When you seek the exalted spheres,
No obstacle can hinder, no trouble nears.

71. If you wished, you could overtake
The stars, no limit could your efforts brake.

72. To seek the stars is mere desire,
For distance keeps them ever higher.

73. Your banners with victory flap proud
As the zephyrs play in your land endowed.

74. The night of your struggle stays awake,
Guarding its stars that no darkness can take.

75. With eyes open, the faith you nourish,
By your gaze, keep safe and flourish.

76. When longing stirs, your banners wave,
When sorrow comes, your steeds cry brave!

77. Eager for God and eschewing rest,
Jihad not ceasing, homes not blessed.

78. You sprang from Khazraj’s lofty stems,
Qahtan's children, noble scions of Yemen.

79. High as heaven your generosity,
With water drenching the Najd, fragrantly.

80. I say to the East wind that blows anew,
Bringing rain clouds where abandoned dunes grew,

81. Before you lies the home of the wealthy soul
Who found in God his fortune and goal.

82. At its corners, springs for the devout,
From his palms, ten oceans pour out.

83. Ships of hope in this bounty ply,
No shore limits his generosity.

84. Hopeful souls seek his sympathy,
His aid the needy constantly plea.

85. Wondrous tales of his goodness abound,
Where charity and contact are found.

86. God give you clouds that obeyed the Creator,
Showering down obligatory rain drops greater.

87. You rose in the West, dawn's light reborn,
Nobility and grace thereby adorned.

88. So praising you is best for all those,
Whose burdens are lighter before your doors.

89. Remembering you is better than trails gone past,
As star caravans your abode forecast.

90. They wish to bask in your glory's ray,
Though short of it, for their course make way.

91. Dawn reflects from your forehead and eyebrow,
As does the sunrise from its curved brow.

92. The meadow reflects your stream and your air,
The rain reflects your blessings that care.

93. If you rouse not the troops to heights sublime,
God's troops for your sake will march in time.

94. If you assemble no fletched arrows fine,
God's arrows for you will align.

95. Fortune feathers for you arrows of dreams,
Striking armor of enemies, so it seems.

96. Honor is yours, by its light you recover,
None can equal it, all else to uncover.

97. If resolve neglects to ready your brand,
No use in grinding a useless blade's hand.

98. Before the sword's flashes, purpose precedes,
After planning, the fortress succeeds.

99. To God alone belongs all knowledge, in truth,
Knower of consequences, wise and uncouth.

100. The canopy of birds over your armies spread
Wherever standards direct them to tread.

101. So they met the hawks and the standard together,
Destroying enemies and piercing feathers.

102. Say to the Romans' leader, no mightier:
Prepare for doom's messengers ever nearer!

103. Dash his eyes with the gleam of the sharpened blade,
Clouds of darkness, with blood they will shade.

104. Drive not away the crows near the abyss,
Though they be ships and the sea they dismiss.

105. But no! God fulfills the promise He made,
Stalwart men not by women swayed.

106. Verdant coasts, littered with prone dead,
Spear-covered battlegrounds they spread.

107. You'll see the dunes blossom red when irrigated
By the swords - streams - that run with hated.

108. They sate from the enemy’s marrow the spear,
Which had tired of the roses and longed for a peer.

109. How wondrous, the spear drank its fill of red blood,
Though the onlooker's eyes thereby saddened stood!

110. Complete is the virtue that you possess,
No Caliph has reached such perfect success.

111. You have thanks from creation, allstartDate,
While God rewards you in the next world's state.

112. My works I’ve adorned with wisdom's gems,
Putting Babylon's sorcery to shame.

113. But it is naught beside your merits' glare,
I only say what is, while God's work is there.

114. From it wonders to hear and sights to see,
Are recited and unveiled for you and me.

115. Had I lived in bygone ages, assured,
No vain boasting poet would have allured.

116. Though I am the last poet of this era,
I bring what earlier ones couldn't bear.

117. Nor did Iyad boast of his bow anew,
Nor Sa'haban pride in glories thought true.

118. Still I remain your spring of mercy, O my Lord,
Where hopes are thirsty, and by content restored.

119. You established the pillars of lofty endeavor
As your mention spreads through the land forever.

120. You gained what you sought from every foe,
And for your sons all that you did pine for.

121. So you rose with the Caliphate’s brilliant dawn,
For you the crescent, for stars the adorn.
