When the land was green with clover

4. The house is deserted, empty of cloaks and dwellers
Yet still hoping for the blossomed garden

5. Whenever hands played in it
And they gambled in settlements and travels

6. The young men raced their steeds as if
Ships sailing the rough seas at night

7. Let me cast off this longing, for I will not
Bow to the words of the blamer

8. The dwellings resembled their dwellers
Their ages led to their ends

9. Their beauty faded and their company diminished
Yet longing and reminiscence remain in my mind

10. And I say - the lover cannot be blamed
Love disappeared by the tricks of time

11. My youth is melting, and my tears
Moisten my eyelids as they flow

12. Beyond the horizon of the west, there are roots
That bring out suns in the clouds of darkness

13. O people of Nejd, and none but Nejd
The call of guidance and the camp of hopes

20. And when you pass the hill of Bramh
Greet the blossomed garden affectionately

21. In it are the covenants that rose on its horizon
Once, though their time has not come to an end

22. It reminds me of the time of youth that passed
Directed toward the covenant with determination

23. As if you had given me his noble son from it
The brave stalwart as my replacement

24. Yet I turned away from youth
And untied the ropes of love for the beautiful

25. My pride is enough among the highly esteemed
When they compete in glory and great deeds

26. I seek refuge in the just state
Whose beauty is perfected in its entirety

27. Where the faces are radiant and the generous
Are forthcoming, and honor remains intact

28. Where good deeds are its principles
Given preference over the falling dew

29. The white hands and faces are most honorable
They built the highest with Brown hyraxes

30. They are the family of Nasr, supporters of the faith
And the chosen ones among the prophets

31. Whatever old glory you seek, it was built
By the people of Qaylah, the best lineages

32. None but the most courageous and resolute
Who meets adversities with no concern

33. Smiling while the day is most tumultuous
And war calls for the reserve of fighters

34. They were accustomed to glorious victory and authorized
The clear conquest at the battlefront of heroes

35. They sacrificed their precious souls willingly
For God, better than any gains

36. You became heir to their glory and pride
The honor of nations and great champions

37. You rose in the horizon of the caliphate radiantly
Dispelling the darkness of injustice and misguidance

38. Kings were humbled by your majesty and courage
And you surpassed them in patience and composure

39. Your virtues surpassed all virtues
So its beauty defies all beauty

40. The sun takes its light from your forehead
And the meadow emits its fragrance from your perfume

41. The wind carries its scent from your praise
In its meeting place from the north and south

42. And rain flows abundantly from your generosity
While rain pours and dew continues

43. You give to those who have no hopes
And you show kindness before being asked

44. You reached the highest summit of stars with ambition
Never losing will or hesitating

45. And you reached the highest ranks of fortune
Transcending through your high steps

46. The standards of your fortune equal your great goals
Its precedence concludes its consequent

47. For whom are the purebred horses as if they are
Flocks of wild cows released and roaming freely?

48. Of the strained and shackled, embracing the passion
Let loose, seeking adventure

49. For whom are the red domes opened for the dew
Flooding the healthy with torrents of generosity?

50. For whom are the white tents that seem to be
The flowers of stars appearing at night?

51. Sprawling, lofty abodes
As if they are the pinnacles of mountains in valleys

52. He is the manifestation of the supreme King
And source of the clear light in the watchful tower

The guiding moon, perfection still revolves around him

54. To God is your purpose with which we attained
The reward of jihad and the hopes we seek

55. Whatever beauty whose perfection surpasses
And whose splendid view is pleasing

56. What wondrous spectacles you have shown
That I never imagined could exist before

57. The delegations of people came to you ruled
Singled out for reverence and majesty

58. They came at the appointed times as if
Pilgrims in Bramh and gatherings

59. By God, blessed are those who saw the King of Highness
Dignity enhanced his beauty and glory

60. In a procession wearing sincerity as their emblem
And distinguished by the gown of beauty

61. They became so many, and you pleased them all
With your continuous kindness

62. It brought joy to Marr'iyah, a blessing authorized
By the days after an extended wait

63. You sanctified her valley and frequented her places
So it prides over other wives

64. And you clothed it in the fur of youth, excelling
And healed its complaints of old age

65. My Master, I cannot fully praise you
For it has exceeded detailing and summarizing

66. You exalted my status in the horizon of grace
And singled me out for noble customs

67. My hands attained all I yearned for
In self, status, or money

68. You granted all the hopes I sought
Fulfilling my every wish
