1. Ask the horizon about my state through the flowers of stars tonight,
For I have entrusted it with explaining my condition,

2. And I have charged the gentle breeze with a trust,
With which I have spent the life of time full of wishes,

3. So O you who saw the souls while they were weak!
I charge it with what would make the solid ground shiver,

4. How much enticement provoked me, and passion kindled within me,
So my tossed about heart was disturbed and wavering!

5. Whoever obeys the glances in the authority of passion,
Must disobey sincere advice and guidance,

6. My heart straightened from the rule of its own leadership,
When it approved of the injustice of the glance and the governor,

7. Love is nothing but a glance that provokes passion,
Followed by what exhausts the efforts of the healing physician,

8. So strange is the eye that walks freely,
While the heart because of it becomes afflicted and suffering,

9. By God, an invaluable soul,
Love permits from it what had been so expensive,

10. And O nights of youth I enjoyed it and spent it in intimacy,
I stayed alone with my beloved without supervision,

11. But my chastity, I was not without it,
And the day at Musallah I witnessed it,

12. I renewed the intimate union, miserable in it, miserable in it,
And I did not recover from the wine of glances, and it became,

13. On a morning in which the atmosphere took the cups as companions,
It unsheathed from the scabbard of clouds a sharp sword,

14. From lightning polished like Yemeni steel,
It smiled and my eyelids were flooded with tears,

15. I filled with the full moon of tears in it my gown,
And it reminded me of a mouth I was thirsty for its nectar,

16. By God, the chaste love, I was not forgetful,
And the throbbing of my heart went like me, as if

17. With the lightning of fever from the agony of love, not recovered,
And the night the full moon in it was my bedfellow,

18. And the eyes of meteors were towards me flowing,
I sipped in it between Al-Udhayb (place) and lightning,

19. At a mouth’s creek that spent the night in the house currently,
I sipped the clear nectar of acceptance,

20. And I kissed in the water of bliss the most delicious,
So O coolness of that mouth you quenched my anguish,

21. And O heat of my breath you hurt my heart,
And a garden of beauty for youth the like of it,

22. I nested in it with the branch of intimacy freely,
And I spent my tears watering the rose of the cheek,

23. So the narcissus of the glance in it became withering,
And it inclined with my heart while its curves inclined,

24. So what is it to me if the curves inclined,
May God reward that era, for it frequently,

25. Brought back to my dwellings the gazelles to compensate,
And say to the nights of youth I enjoyed it and spent it,

26. And fulfilled it in intimacy; you were given nights,
And O valley whose shadows were kind to me,

27. While we practiced the union; your nights were sanctified,
The eyes of the flock threw me in it while in fact,

28. They threw my heart into love, thrown.
So had it not been for my allegiance to the Prince Muhammad,

29. I would not have been saved from the killing of the glances,
So say to the one who builds his poetry on beauty,

30. You should go on doing good as long as you are building,
So how many torches of love I have extinguished,

31. And I raised it with praise when it came consecutively,
And how many a night in praise of him I spent awake,

32. Bragging with the full moon of poetry the pearls,
And the pillar of dawn beamed like his lineage,

33. I raised for his praise high buildings,
A leader who benefited his time with favors,

34. And built for it above the stars the highest goals,
And he surpassed the full moon in light and loftiness,

35. And did not accept but perfection to support him,
He is the sun that spread its benefits in the vast land,

36. And its lights gifted both near and far,
He is the sea abundant in kindness its waves,

37. Yet is freshwater to whoever came well,
He is the rain whenever its clouds withhold,

38. It waters with clouds of generosity whoever called,
His guidance no matter how much the meteors went astray,

39. In the wings of fate it took them as guided,
And his determination is more decisive than his sword in fighting,

40. Even if it is polished Indian steel decisive,
So how many dissenters in religion blaspheming his Lord,

41. You confronted with the blade of the strong protector,
And nothing deterred him but a sword and determination,

42. Shining in the night of calamities, warding off evil,
So had it not been for you, O sun of the caliphate,

43. The path of jihad would not have been evident, obscured,
And had it not been for you, the heavens of `Aja would not have been raised,

44. With which the sharp swords shine as moons,
And had it not been for you, branches of spears would not have been watered,

45. And they would have remained towards the rose of blood guiding,
So thrive in it the blades grow a supported victory,

46. And reap the harvest of conquests, green and near,
And no matter how oppressive the sword of your conquest becomes bare,

47. It leaves the face of earth covered with blood,
By God's will from above the heavens; that he

48. Is upon whoever refused Islam on earth a vanquisher,
So how many stronghold of disbelief, you gave its people morning,

49. With an army that brought back the darkest dawn,
You climbed up to it and the swords are unsheathed,

50. And the souls in it had reached the highest,
So you opened its hard passage by force,

51. And the oneness overnight in it became supreme,
And its church bell with compulsion became dysfunctional,

52. And its pulpit with remembrance became current,
Wonders I had not imagined, but indeed,

53. We attained through an ambition that is what it is,
So from you the age has learned every wonder,

54. With which the kingdoms boast over others nights,
And from you, people narrate every strange tale,

55. Beyond what crosses the page of time the hopes,
And by God your beautiful structure surpasses,

56. The rule of sovereignty the buildings,
So how much in it is delightful for the sights,

57. In which the calm self renews its wishes,
And the stars would fall in love with its flowers, if they dwelt in it,

58. And they were not in the horizon of the sky concubines,
And if its former ones raced with it, they would race

59. To serve it, which would please you more than the concubines.
In it the courtyard has gained beauty and it has become,

60. With it the palace horizons of the sky ostentatious.
And how much garment you dressed it with its jewelry,

61. Of gold embroidery that makes the Yemeni attire forgetful.
And how much dome within its dwellings became high,

62. On columns of light that spent the night surroundings.
So its planets thought their domes revolved,

63. Shading the pillar of dawn when it appears,
Its bracelets came with every strange tale,

64. So they surpassed proverbs flowing bracelets.
In it the polished marble, its light uncovered,

65. Illuminating from the darkness whatever was gloomy.
And how much garment you dressed it with its jewelry,

66. Of gold embroidery that makes the Yemeni attire forgetful.
And how much dome within its dwellings became high,

67. On columns of light that spent the night surroundings.
So its planets thought their domes revolved,

68. Shading the pillar of dawn when it appears.
Its bracelets came with every strange tale,

69. So they surpassed proverbs flowing bracelets.
In it the polished marble, its light uncovered,

70. Illuminating from the darkness whatever was gloomy.
When its beams shine, imagine them,

71. Above the size of planets, marvelous scenes.
In it the sea, the collision of its waves you imagine,

72. When the delegation of the breeze competes defiantly,
When the hands of the morning breeze stroke its surface,

73. It shows us shields that granted us hands generously,
And a female dancer in the sea compliant to its will,

74. Retreating the melodies of the musicians and songs,
When she rises in the air then descends,

75. She adorns with the fluttering of pigeons the sides,
With melting smooth pearls flowing between jewels,

76. It became in beauty white and pure,
A neighbor to the eyes was confused with inanimate,

77. So I could not tell which of them was flowing,
So if you want a simile for it about the truth,

78. You hit the target and blessings be upon you, O archer,
Say, it danced on its surface like one who plays,

79. With a newborn so he would not feel depressed,
It showed us the good manners while still young,

80. And did not accept in generosity except to excel,
It quenched the mouth's thirst with the freshness of its nectar,

81. And it stood up in order to guide the life with a water bearer,
As if it saw the river of the Milky Way depleted,

82. So it wanted to divert to it the channels,
And the daughters of dew in it established watering places,

83. Individually, while some followed the others,
Young girls nurtured in the bosom of love,

84. And they grew up and its love grew in my heart,
With it every soft curled one became uncovered,

85. Played by the hands of the breeze continuously,
And the best of the branch's cheeks in it idle,

86. So you threaded it the pendant of eminence,
When the flower of its sprouts shine,

87. The starer spends the night with it, perfumed.
Equalizing the two currencies through its like,

88. The judge of beauty approved the compensation,
For if the hand of breeze fills with its like,

89. Dirhams of light, it remains without match.
So it fills the garden’s courtyard around its sprouts,

90. With sun dinars leaving the garden currently,
The birds chirp in its branches whenever,

91. The hands of the rhythm play in amusement,
They echo it in song, so it thinks

92. That with its voices it dictates to it the melodies,
We did not know of a garden more blissful and green,

93. And more fragrant places, and sweeter freely,
Nor did we see a palace loftier in appearance,

94. And higher horizons, and more spacious club,
You chose meanings from the essence of perfection,

95. And adorned it with beauty the poems,
And you opened its structure with a noble purpose you set out,

96. Spreading through it in the breasts glad tidings,
And when you invited people towards its making,

97. They answered from the side of the cave your caller,
And they rushed from the furthest countries in devotion,

98. And good fortune from you does not cease to come closer to the farthest,
And you reminded on the day of display, generosity and bounty,

99. In a stance of display you were in it the giver,
You rewarded everyone according to his effort,

100. So whatever your right hand planted became flourishing,
And you brought out from the abundance of firewood, columns

101. That remind of the day of mustering whoever forgot,
And when the Fire was ignited at your door for the villages,

102. No wonder you made it the place of festivities.
And an ambitious one in the air not pretentious,

103. The gaze returns to it sadly yearning,
Sagittarius extends to it the palm of a greeter,

104. And the full moon of the sky comes closer addressing it,
No wonder it surpassed meteors in loftiness,

105. And exceeded the farthest extent the farthest,
For in front of your abode the clouds stood in service,

106. And whoever serves the Most High benefits,
And this is a witness that I am standing at your door,

107. While the star flowers envied my position,
And the rainclouds had suckled before it

108. At the bosom of a garden in which were lambs,
So when it was revealed from the affection of its origin,

109. It wanted to rise to the horizon of clouds,
And it counted meeting the clouds as feast and season,

110. For that it became playful with the flock in the valleys,
So it made the lightning laugh through it,

111. And spent the night entertaining the pearls,
It saw itself tall, so it thought

112. To surpass despite the race the thrown,
So the wilting ones hastened to it as if

113. They are birds to a den it looked down precipitating,
It resembled bees and the bees around it

114. Disobedient to its abode plunging the heights,
So from anchoring ones, it is the thrown reached,

115. And from a bird in the air that hovered and weakened,
And an impregnable fortress within its dwellings ascended,

116. So it distanced in the open space the heights,
As if the lightning of the air attacked and showed,

117. The towers of palaces, fortified and firm,
So you built an ascending and descending tower,

118. To be a messenger between them in rotation,
Embodying in its shapes diverse situations,

119. With kinds of adornment that provoke passions,
So a veil on its legs, and a sash on its waist,

120. And a crown when the supreme wore it,
And it is none other than the bird of good fortune at its peak,

121. It became in the morning dispelling the meteors contending,
My lord, O pride of kings, and one who,

122. The religion of God will reach what was aspiring,
Your five sons based on the ruling of fortune,

123. And this number the eye has remained protecting,
Cassiopeia spends the night protecting them,

124. And Orion becomes when they appear a watcher,
Names upon which fortune marked its symbol,

125. You see honor resided in it and evident,
You made Abu Al-Abbas the opener of its constellation,

126. And destinies have recognized from you successive openings,
And enough you are Sa`d then victory following them,

127. Muhammad the most pleased, so you remained pleased,
You established through it the ways of religion,

128. And you renewed in the course of guidance prosperous, healthy.
And they came with it fully prepared and lofty,

129. Kissing the face of earth, blossomed and beautiful.
So O you who excuses what had been so daring!

130. For the like of you does not tame the wild beasts,
And the most precious greetings came to you from Egypt,

131. So the hands of traders did not unravel the dearest,
And a pledge from the land of Hejaz reached you,

132. Completing the making of God, it does not cease evident,
And the sultan of Taybah called you for transition,

133. So O most kind! What a caller he guided to you!
And he stood where the tomb of Muhammad was,

134. For your most high sultan, imploring there,
Your compassionate nature, may God reward your effort,

135. A God who fulfils rewarding the endeavors,
And by God were it not for prophetic tradition,

136. We inherited it guided to it and guiding,
And the excuse of excusing, its rule settled,

137. From religious texts, reports raised sublime,
It would have minded with it the horrors of a battle situation,

138. That frightens with the shining of sharp blades the heights,
You have praise therein of a making you count,

139. So his third in pride honored his second,
Sagittarius fastens for it the belt of its waist,

140. To serve in it so it may attain the heights,
And I was delighted with praises in it, and it became,

141. Your existence in it in eloquence sufficient,
And I brought from the sea of rhetoric gems,

142. Noble, so they are not bought but by the noble,
And I flew in describing each strange thing in it,

143. So I was frustrated whether coming or passed,
So O inheritor of the supporters, not out of boredom,

144. An inheritance of majesty that makes the solid ground light!
With his praises the scripture came detailed,

145. Chanting it in the mention whoever came consecutively,
Islam certainly knew of what you benefited it,

146. Favors of supporters, and hands generously,
Peace of God be upon you, so reside immortalized,

147. Renewing feasts and corrupting enemies.
