١. وَكَّلتِ الكِندِيَّ مَولاتُنا
فَضَلَّتِ القَصدَ وَساءَت سَبيل
2. So say to him, desist! Lest we discard you
For your days with us are few
٢. فَقُل لَهُ كفَّ وَلا نَأتَلي
فَعمرُ أَيّامِكَ فيها قَليل
3. You have endured time's vicissitudes
So suffice it! You are a miserable deputy
٣. وَقَد كَفيتَ الدَهرَ في صَرفِهِ
فَحَسبُها أَنتَ وَبِئسَ الوَكيل
