١. إِذا لَقيتَ الأَعادي يَومَ مَعرَكَةٍ
فَإِنَّ جَمعَهُم المَغرورَ مُنتَهبُ
2. For you are the souls and for the birds the flesh
For the beasts the bones and for the brave the spoils
٢. لَكَ النُفوسُ وَلِلطَيرِ اللَحومُ وَلِلـ
ـوَحشِ العِظامُ وَلِلخَيّالَةِ السَلَبُ
