He blamed loyalty and turned away from steadfast youth

3. You left the caller of separation my love
So with what states will I see you approaching?

4. A gazelle of the Turks, the wind of youth bends his neck
And the softness of youth brings it back

5. Why does his cheek not have musk?
And I had known musk to be in the dens of the wild animals

6. Angry, not satisfied, so I never met him
Smiling except he turned frowning

7. God knows I never wanted but his satisfaction
Except he wronged, avoiding unjustly

8. How much he wronged and I met him apologizing
As if I were the wrongdoer, the sinner

9. So the length of his humility only increases his pride
Forever, and the excess of apology only breeds resentment

10. How strange of him, he took the slanderers and their words
As truth, and saw what I faced and denied it

11. And he saw the armies of patience as weak
So he raided in the horses of防ance and looted

12. O full moon, your uncle endowed you with beauty
So he singled you out for beauty and chose you

13. Glory to Him who ignited with your cheek for the youth
A flame with which hearts are inflamed

14. Or was he not satisfied with your cheek that
He twisted from the excess of your temple a scorpion?
