1. They betrayed those who grazed freely
Forgetting to cherish kinship ties

2. We counseled them sincerely yet they responded with treachery
We were a ladder for them but they were war for us

3. We did not repay their evil with evil or blame
We did not complain or reproach

4. We hoped they would cease their actions
To deserve our forgiveness for their sin

5. But when they persisted in their wickedness
And injustice pulled us to our own evil

6. We said to them, taste the fruits of your deeds
