From loss to defeat and chaos.

4. God alone knows how many walls
Behind my heart want to crumble!

5. Time changed its skin, so we were afflicted
With an era brimming with hatred and grudges.

6. Where is my love? How did it get lost?
And what about my country and its glory when it overflowed?

7. The wounds consumed me, cousin,
And time passed by, unfinished!

8. And despite the sorrow in my veins,
Something pulls parts of me together.

9. I'm looking now for an honorable enemy!
One who doesn't show favoritism or violate dignity,

10. Who remembers the pacts of an Arab leader
Who never betrayed them or tasted betrayal from him.

11. One from a time of more just rule
Among nations raised and lowered.

12. A country whose blood was purification,
Not a country that purifies itself with urine!

13. The game of fortune is a game I never joined,
And like my people, I spent my life running.

14. I have shaken my hands free of every love,
But my heart still holds them dear.

15. Life taught me after years
That the sweetest life is what I refused.

16. Something in me still says: You will be happy
With what I hope to pulse.
