12. And in his heart mercy has settled residence
That with its diffusion the dead would almost revive

13. So who will tell the story of those sentiments
That almost make even deaf rock crack

14. To whom, when you are the rain, shall I return thirsty?
And to where, O shade of the weak, shall I emigrate?

15. And how the hero's life, which he battles
Against the vicissitudes of fate like 'Antar, explains the unemployment

Except for words that dazzle like a garden

And impelled me to create poetry and spread it

24. Surplus, if misfortunes befell me because of it
You are more capable of directing this issue

25. And it is but a period, and my hopes
Have been watered and turned into saplings green

26. And countenances, when the etching excuses their faces
Then the faces of purpose cannot be incapacitated

27. I sought you for commendation and status - not for what
Vanishes of these joys and turns yellow
