2. Thoughts of you coincide with my memories
While my mind is closed off to any other thoughts

3. O gazelle, aloof from the herds of life
Till being apart from you became habitual

4. Woe to my sleepless eyes, not your sleepless eyes
Exhausted in the darkness, tossing and turning

5. O you who squandered your prime for the hereafter
Good news, your reward exceeds the former and the loan

6. Excuse my verse, though life corresponds to it
My complaints concealed, and the matter exposed

7. And my mind’s weakness in composing poetry
Like counting squares on a chessboard doubling

8. Still I chant my words about you since long ago
While you are clad in radiant attire

9. Family congratulating your honoured state
O you known through all your days for trust

10. But I choose congratulations for them
For your fate is itself an honor
