1. The branch saw the gazelle's swaying sides
And stood like one infatuated, flattering

When it wishes to jest with the beard of a fool

7. And stirs up the dust of racing in a lover's face
I see it as my dust, then it says to it "Enough"

8. It means one with a twisted spear, a follower
So I can train in stabbing and become more skilled

9. It means a gazelle that steals people's glances
And attributes to them every wall and trench

10. Of the Turks, except it is dark-cheeked
Playing with the edges of intricate words

11. By my soul, one who has not suffered his justice
With the humility of ornate speech

12. Straightening the arrows of the two eyelids as if
Choosing the souls of arrows and selecting

13. With an eyelid sprinkled, if magic names it, it does not limit
And if it leaves it, it is the limit of sharp swords

14. It destroyed the hearts of lovers, leaving
No beloved to ransom or slave to free

15. And drowned my reproachers in my tears, and I did not intend
But one who pelts the sea will drown

16. Passion is suited to the opinion of so-and-so
Like the spear point of Ibn Abi Al-Hayja in an elephant's heart
