3. You were betrothed to Damascus when you were sought for it
So congratulations for the concurrence of two aligned sayings

4. O excellent horizon, you scented its side
Until the people of hopes took omens with lamps

5. The chest of the lofty where you sat steadfast
So you sat with an unconstrained chest

6. And freely gave your opinion without withheld words
When you speak and no thoughts constrained

7. The people aspire for the blackness that appeared through you
As if the blackness of indigo dyed your brain

8. The eye of time adorns itself in its clothes
And eyes adorn themselves with kohl

9. Greatest of news about you proliferating
For you have tread a path without crookedness

10. And you entered doors of knowledge, when ambitions stirred
The resolute enter the doors of the eminent

11. Your hand repelled hopes unsheathed
As torrents repel in the midst of a winding path

12. Virtues that the delegation of praise is guided to
With the clear glow of the shining full moon

13. As if the voice of his welfare is in his hearing
The voices of a temple during hajj

14. O you who seek his generosity or discourse
Return to his fresh sea but beware the surging waves

15. It is a sea of dew and guidance, if you taste its watering place
You taste salvation, and if you stir it up it rages

16. The keen of thought taken by his intellect
To guidance, led to the path

17. This guides the youth whose hair cascades
So what when white hair shines like a lamp

18. Bravo your life O Badr al-Din, for you
Lit for merit in us every shining lamp

19. You who preferred reports whose witness is present
The people of hopes have directed them with proofs

20. From the overflowing of your generosity the generous ones poured dew
As if you were the sea that is watered from its estuaries

21. Your door has not ceased to be a refuge for the vanquished
And the distressed, the door of victory and relief
