1. By God, you have honored my poetry,
So every verse became like a palace.

2. And I found in you a sea,
Whose praise is soothing in every sea.

3. And a chest in which is a secret of the Most Merciful,
For that is where secrets dwell.

4. I saw no fault in you but blessings,
With which you enslaved all the free.

5. If my gratitude falls short,
I swear my reward does not fall short.

6. I say to all the people of Aleppo,
My words are news and tidings.

7. Leave the hunting of praises and glories,
For the aspirations of the son of Falcon have hunted them.
