1. The best of protectors ransom their honor with generosity
O people of nobility, merit, and pedigree

2. As long as your sublime heavens remain over me
Then the fading of the seven planets does no harm

3. Your tomb proceeds to satisfaction freely given
O sister of the best brother, daughter of the best father

4. O spring of virtue, since the earth won you
You have not emerged from seclusion except into deeper seclusion

5. Your mention is most sublime, above all Sa'd, and I know well
What heights of glory you have reached, despite strife

6. So if you reproach Abu Dharr for praise,
You have reproached one whose heart is set on high
