2. You brought the coming of rain that pours its drink
And its scent wafts, and its lips smile

3. Before you, the people of Syria never saw rainclouds
Bring rain to Syria from Egypt, its place of departure

4. You came like the full moons, truly
To the injustice of time, the darkest of its eras

ุฏูุฑู
5. If not for the light of your face rising
From the west, a full moon filling the earth with its light

ูุฃ ุงูุฃุฑุถ ุจุดุฑู
6. You are the one who in Egypt and Syria shone
Your glories, so it dominated the star of fate

7. Yours is the heart from the diary of that, and only
For your heart is the secret of this lifetime

ุฏู ุงูุฏูุฑ ุณุฑูู
8. And how many horizons stretched the standing of its star
That falls short of the lowest of your nests in height

ููุตุฑ ุนู ุฃุฏูู ุฎูุงููู ูุณุฑู
9. The masters surrender to you willingly and forcibly
And the secret of virtue in you is good openly and privately
ูฉ. ุชูุฑ ูู ุงูุณุงุฏุงุช ุทูุนุงู ูุนููุฉู
ููุญุณู ุณุฑู ุงููุถู ููู ูุฌูุฑู
10. It's as if in the Most High your father watered the soil
Of your father alive, pouring - so for that is his merit
ูกู . ูุฃูููู ูู ุงูุนููุง ุฃุจูู ุณูู ุซุฑู
ุฃุจููู ุญูุงู ููู
ู ูููู ุฏุฑูู
11. Your dignity in resolute matters is his dignity
And your good tidings in the making of knowledge is his good tidings

ูุจุดุฑู ูู ุตูุน ุงูู
ุนุงุฑู ุจุดุฑู
12. You traveled, O Yahya, and your virtue is eternal
It is the sea except that Ja'far is its river

ูู ุงูุจุญุฑ ุฅูุงูู ุฃููู ุฌุนูุฑู ููุฑู
13. My God, prolong for the world Ahmed's life
So excellent is the generous person and his time

ููุง ุญุจููุฐุง ุงูุดุฎุต ุงููุฑูู

14. He assists the domains of time as you see
So the structure of time is strengthened and its pillars

ููุดุชุฏูู ุจููุงู ุงูุฒููู
ุงู ูุฃุฒุฑู
15. And he admires doing good corresponding
So he preserves its heights and spends his abundance

ูู ู
ุทุงุจูุงู
ููุญูุธ ุนููุงู ููุจุฐู ููุฑู
16. No fault in him but excess of oozing generosity
That strains the effort of praise to limit it
ูกูฆ. ููุง ุนูุจู ููู ุบูุฑ ุฅูุฑุงุท ุณุคุฏุฏู
ูุดููู ุนูู ุฌูุฏ ุงูู
ุฏุงุฆุญ ุญุตุฑู
17. The lad of clear lineage and morals which
Even the most eloquent eulogy falls short of abundantly praising
ูกูง. ูุชู ุงููุณุจ ุงููุถููุงุญ ูุงูุดูู
ู ุงูุชู
ูููู ููุง ู
ู ุจุงุฑุน ุงูุญู
ุฏ ูุซุฑูู
18. And of the house - as for the family of Yahya, its structure
And as for Abu Hafs the Imam, its ocean

ุง ุขูู ูุญูู ููุธู

ุง ุฃุจู ุญูุตู ุงูุฅู

19. The masters surrender to him willingly and forcibly
And the secret of virtue in him is good openly and privately
ูกูฉ. ุชูุฑ ูู ุงูุณุงุฏุงุช ุทูุนุงู ูุนููุฉู
ููุญุณู ุณุฑู ุงููุถู ููู ูุฌูุฑู
20. He has a pen that inclines to beauty, so he raised it
To the rank of its caller, and to opposites, he broke it

ู ููุญู ุงูุฌู
ูู ูุฑูุนู
ูุฑุชุจุฉ ุฏุงุนูู ูููุถุฏู ูุณุฑู
21. When Yahya rose to power with his darkness
The white domes and red towers yielded to him

ู ูุญูู ุฏููุฉ ุจุณูุงุฏูู
ุนูุช ุฏููู ุจูุถ ุงููุฑูุงุน ูุณู
ุฑู
22. Short for a matter he does not haughtily turn up his nose
Until we saw the king had strengthened his victory

ุฅูู ุฃู ุฑุฃููุง ุงูู
ูู ูุฏ ุนุฒูู ูุตุฑู
23. With the palm of a lad who, if the sea had his munificence
It would overflow as it overflowed from his pearls

24. And the one who praises you, when he appeared
Outstretching glory, beautiful of cheek, most youthful

ุฏูุฏ ุงูุนูู ุจุงูู ุงูู

25. The passion of asking bends him as if
His shoulders and cheeks were bent by his wine
ูขูฅ. ูุฑูุญู ุดุฏููู ุงูุณุคุงู ูุฃูู

ุชุซูููุช ุจุนุทููู ูุญุงุดุงู ุฎู
ุฑู
26. Most glorious you met me in the hour of glory
A meeting which mended my heart
ูขูฆ. ุฃูุฌูู ุงูุนูู ูุงุจูุชูู ุณุงุนุฉ ุงูุนูู

ูุงุจูุฉู ูุงูู ุจูุง ุงูููุจู ุฌุจุฑู
27. If he builds in composing your praise his verse
It is nothing but a palace among those skilled in verse

28. For praising you, O essence of nobility, I was late
Rhymes of nobility long flew with its poetry

ุง ุทุงุฑ ุดุนุฑู
29. Though I am tempted by every bright faced one
Touched by the water of life and its greenery

ุบุฑูู ุจููู ู
ูุฑุทูู
ุจู
ุง ุฎุฏูู ู
ุงุกู ุงูุญูุงุฉ ูุฎุถุฑู
30. I wondered at him, in his overflowing cup, the Tallฤ*
While in us, and he did not come near the cup in drunkenness

31. Your praise is more delicious to my mouth than its moisture
And your utterance - not the sweetness of union and its bitterness

32. So suffice you from my heart its clarity and love
And suffice you from my tongue its supplication and thanks

ู ููุธู ุฏุนุงู ูุดูุฑู
33. And suffice you a slave whom your kindness possessed
Though he is free in spirit, his heart is free

34. There remained for the praiser of praise your face his feast
And the palms of your generous hands his decoration
