1. With lithe limbs yet her eyelids
Weave for my ailing self threads of yearning

Yearning has dwelt, and yearning dwells still

3. Tears of Qays, Qays's tears thereafter
Like the sea at the brook of Muhammad stream on

4. King of sky, slumber, and generosity to humankind
So take joy, aspire, and rise high

5. O king simple and boundless as the sea
Of the tender dew, the first plain ode

6. Greetings to you and welcome on your blessed arrival
Living despite enemies, forward you go

7. The crescent rose and your face brings blessings
Excelling all, most excellent you remain
