My poem swoons over him and over

3. Our ruler al-Nasir's excellent praise
In God's care and protection

4. Your rest and lute with resolute rhythm
O expected meeting with his nearness

5. You have met us today at dawn's first light
If it were proper for our eyelids to take

6. The path of all tearful eyes
But they are sick with distance

7. And you take no path but the right one
