1. With your auspicious arrival, Damascus was illuminated

١. بمقدمِكَ السعيد قد اسْتنارت
دمشق وبشرت بسنا عليّ
2. It was yearning for the branded one
But the patron has made it needless of any patron
٢. وقد كانتْ إلى الوسميِّ تهفو
فأغناها الوليّ عن الوليّ
