1. Welcome to poetry's rhythm
A breeze after breeze

2. From an early dawn whiteness
Charmed on the hill's slope

3. For a tune I composed
Blessings within a rosary

4. And a bride I made for myself
From the whiteness of union, her dawn

5. Despite my incapacity for
An embrace - let mention of its opening go

6. I was in poetry a steed
That gains the lead in a blink

7. But hardship and children weakened me
I no longer have any leeway

8. Each son and daughter of mine
Are like my images and ghosts

9. The arrows of words don't
Touch my face with their cups

10. And my prayers to you beyond
The horizon satisfy and make joyful

11. Take the purity of love as a cup
In it a thousand salutations

12. And bear me if I play hard to get
And act strangers with its salt

13. My lord, for the devoted lover
There is no joy in closeness or distance

14. If you are absent or approach, the separation has wounded me
O most noble opening

15. Be gentle with the reproacher and his opening
