1. Anushirwan has naught
But hope for those who hope in him
١. إنّ أنوشَرْوان ما فيهِ
سوى قيامٍ لمُرجّيهِ
2. All generosity lies in his foot
And if exceeded, in him
٢. الجودُ كلّ الجودِ في رجله
وإن تعدّى فإلى فيهِ
3. Promote to your beseecher even a grain
And sit on the throne though lost
٣. روّجْ لراجيك ولو حبّةً
واقعُدْ على العرشِ من التّيهِ
