1. You forgot the love of Asma though you were not away from her,
And how could she forget you, when you have not forgotten?

2. By my life, if the dwelling of Asma has departed,
She has provided provisions, though little remains.

3. She is none but Asma, a farewell,
Bidding me adieu when my departure was decided.

4. Nights have befallen the two encampments,
Oh how excellent is that valley with soft sand!

5. My two friends, amongst your comrades do not be
Bound in ties stronger than my ties.

6. Do not suffer before death in my company,
