1. When the pollen becomes rendezvous I persist with it
And do not lament with a clenched fist or weeping eyes
١. إذا اللقاح غدت ملقى أصرتها
ولم تُندِّ عصوب كفَّ معتصبِ
2. And the wind comes from the direction of its sunset
And the one with power laments his fate with bare feet
٢. وجاءت الريح من تلقاء مغربها
وضَنَّ من قدره ذو القِدر بالعُقَبِ
3. And the one wearing fine clothes laughs with might
And the dog takes warmth beside the chained wolf
٣. وكهكه المدلج المقرور في يده
واستدفأ الكلب في المأسور ذي الذِّئبِ
