1. O dwellers of the sacred land, do you not
Consider the blood of lovers to be sacred

2. They said look to Amr and Orwa ibn Hizam
And the virtuous example they set

3. When I complained of the beloved's coldness
And they realized my suffering

4. They said drink of Zamzam's water, I said
Zamzam's water cannot quench my thirst

5. They said chastity has forbidden access
To protection and the Islamic way
