1. I was amazed when he visited my bed in a dream
Though before that he had been avoiding me

2. And I was astonished by his loyalty to me through his apparition
And it would have been more amazing had he visited me while awake

3. He only visited me in my dream through his imagination
And I was the reason for his appearance in my sleep

4. When he appeared like a fruitful swaying branch
I said to him “Welcome, greetings and hello”

5. To myself and my family whom I see every night
He has done them a great endearing favor

6. He has made me drink from the cup of his saliva
My bed and seen his breath sweeter than musk
