1. For the like of you, O Master of Highness, I compose poetry
So your description has depicted pearls and gold

2. You are the best of the time, most generous of its people
A lineage of generous ancestors, the family of Zahra

3. So that is Taha al-Mustafa and his minister
Ali has thus become the highest of all creation

4. I have followed their exemplary tradition since my youth
Thus I was happy, a master, a leader and a guide

5. I succeeded in piety and followed the rightly guided
Through your good deeds and manners so pure

6. And I attained benevolence towards its deserver
Thus, from your Lord, you won love and reward

7. And you strived in service of God as is His right
Thus your children attained grace in this life and the next

8. You endowed the month of fasting with the best of worship
And bid it farewell, after secluding yourself, with delight

9. So receive ample and growing reward
For you are thankful, with increase, you merit more

10. My Master Abdelkader Al-Husseini, who
Combined knowledge, forbearance, glory and might

11. For when the generous are counted
Yours is the first name, the most fragrant and sweet

12. Congratulations for the prestige you have been granted
For you are the patron of the oppressed seeking respite

13. And O Master, through whose guardianship
We attained guidance, then gifts and righteousness

14. The era was honored when you arrived
And Damascus beamed since the Mudar tribe settled it

15. Your generosity resembles clouds' downpour
So ask and from his torrent, gain ease

16. And greet his lifespan with good tidings
Of abundant hospitality that banishes poverty

17. He is land and sea, every questioner
At his coast is enriched, the Nile itself in dearth

18. He is the noble Kaaba, forever encircled
By disciples and successors then children of dust

19. His traits depict the gentle north wind
That makes spring pour forth when it blows

20. His humility and kindness add to his awe
And his awe settled with praise

21. He has a permanent station of sublime merit
That attracts the scholars' utmost acclaim

22. The guided imams seek his leadership
And through that, they gained bliss and remembrance

23. An emir who points the caravan with his judgment
And like his name, encounters prosperity and good news

24. He is the brilliant, the insightful guide
He is the pure, the honorable who hates baseness

25. Immorality never occurs to his heart
Nor vile words from his tongue or estrangement

26. He has a high lineage and a pure soul
Matching the sublime ties that attract prestige

27. All humankind agrees on loving him
And how worthy for the world's love to orbit around him

28. I remain forever his captive
How worthy the captivity that brings honor

29. He continues to depict the sun on the horizon of loftiness
And his children depict its shining stars

30. The angels continue to feel reassured around him
And all earth's kings send him glorious tidings

31. May his sublime attributes last eternal
As he maintains thanking God through them

32. And may he continue to soar in virtue and piety
With no distress to mar or misfortune to shake
