Your smile’s like lightning, joyful and free.

4. If the daybreak doubts whose charm could be,
A match for the gazelle, it looks to thee.

5. When the night brings me despair and fright,
Replacing cheer with a gloomy plight,

6. And if thoughts of her my heart ignite,
I journey to her, escaping my blight.

7. And I submit, though she’s crossed the line,
For if she unites, she restores my mind.

8. Parting hurts me, as misers find,
Poverty’s fear pierce their hearts unkind.

9. If she joins me, I feel no strife,
If she leaves me, I’ve no will to life.

10. To her love I’m helplessly tied,
No solace in freedom for me to abide.

11. If she wounds me, I take no offense,
She’s blameless, with merit’s evidence.

12. Such is the rule of love ever since,
The wounded don’t seek justice or recompense.

13. In praising her, his words are concise,
Encompassing meanings in thoughtful device.

14. He comes first in virtues and all that’s wise,
Like Ahmad Faris, best of panegyrists.

15. His fame all quarters and regions comprise,
The experts witness his merit's high rise.

16. Apart from their witness, his merit belies,
All refusal, exposing the fool and the lies.

17. Some may deny, jokingly implying,
His brilliance clearly and obviously shining.

18. For Ahmad Faris is an ocean so wide,
With creations like Noah's famed water-ride.

19. His answers traverse the earth everywhere,
Inspiring wisdom, benefit and care.

20. She's the bright sun when in sight she does fare,
As the star appears to people who stare.

21. If any challenge or rival her dare,
To them she is mightier than they can bear.

22. Reciting her praise all great works impair,
For her creator made beauty so rare.

23. None can match his eloquence perfectly fair,
Reaching heights apart from all that compare.

24. When his genius prose and poetry prepare,
All wounding words stand down in despair.

25. My greetings to him shall always repair,
May he live in joy and comfort past compare!
