1. Within this tomb lies a noble lord
Of the house of Fatah Allah, whose honor grows

2. In his time he was a shining symbol
Of virtue and lofty station

3. And now he dwells in the isthmus
A guest of his Master, welcomed and well-received

4. May he ever enjoy God's good pleasure
For he was righteous, devout and chaste

5. And the state of his soul inscribed on his epitaph
In the Garden of Paradise, a servant of the Gentle One
