١. لا تمنعنَّ الطَّيفَ يطرُق مَضجَعي
فَعسى أَرى مِنكَ الخيالَ الزَّائِرا
2. And you will see a lover, though you increase his torment
Manifold, he would still be thankful
٢. وَتَرى مُحبَّاً لو تَزيدُ عَذابهُ
أَضعافَهُ ما كانَ إِلاَّ شاكِرا
3. No wonder if you have turned away from me
Lost, though you were a fleeing gazelle
٣. لا غَروَ إِن أَضحيتَ عنِّي مُعرضاً
تيهاً وقَد رُحتَ الغَزالَ النَّافِرا
