1. I say to my friends as we are in Qumis
And we are on the humps of Sāhima barren
١. أقول لأصحابي ونحن بقُومسٍ
ونحن على أثباجِ ساهمةً جردِ
2. Our distance from Allah's house and the land of Qarqara
And from the valley of Māwḥūsh we went farther still
٢. بَعُدنا وبيتِ اللَهِ عن أرض قَرقَرَى
وعن قاعِ مَوحوُشٍ وزِدنا على البُعدِ
