1. We led when none led, and we gained when none gained,
That was destined for us over people decisively.

2. So no human can count the like of Hashim,
If they count the fathers, more virtuous and generous.

3. And no people boast but for our merit,
And they found no one but us frowning against adversity.

4. And we were singled out with prophecy among them,
And this was for the people an old honor.

5. And we were made guardians of the Stone and House over them,
And we dug the side of the Stone - Zamzam.

6. The Lord of worshipers chose us with His knowledge,
As guides, and Allah was most knowing of people.

7. And none were as true to their covenant among people as we,
And I say truth and decisively if they speak.

8. So who can count the like of us,
If they count the most honored and painful to the enemy and subduer?

9. And the most truthful among people in every abode,
When the war took off its cloak, and the best vanguard.
