1. My hair has grayed while my children have not yet grown up
After frolicking, youthfulness and playing

2. My forehead has whitened and there appeared
In my cheekbone, a beard like thread

3. We are a people whom Allah has built for us
Glory above the houses of Arabs

4. With the Prophet of Allah and his cousin
And with Al-‘Abbas, son of ‘Abd al-Muttalib
