1. Tell the mother of sons, my death is near
Weep for me, under the howdah, beneath the canopies
١. قُل لأُمِّ البنَينِ إن حانَ مَوتي
تَبكِني لِلنِّزالِ تَحتَ العَجاجِ
2. And don the black robes that will shroud my clothes
Above them a badge, bright like a lamp's glow
٢. وَللبس الدِّلاَص يَغشَى ثيابي
فَوقَها بَيضَةٌ كضَوءِ السِّراجِ
3. And raise for me, on the camel litter, my banner
A sign for the lost, while night's still aglow
٣. وَلِرفعي على الرَّبَاوَةِ ناري
عَلَماً لِلمُضلِّ واللَّيلُ داجِ
4. And bury me rolled in my cloak in a hollow
Of death, where I'm safer than those down below
٤. وَلِكَرِّي الكُمَيتَ في حَوَمةش ال
مَوتِ مَكاناً أَقلُّهُم فيهِ ناجِ
