1. I claim kinship to you in naming myself
Muhammad, a name not to be scorned,

2. And I have the honor of dwelling in the places
Where Your Throne and Footstool are to be spurned,

3. And I have poems praising You, informing me
That through You have I attained triumph and conquest,

4. And I have epistles on the virtue of praying for blessings upon You
And peace, of which they have made mention,

5. And all of them, O Messenger of God, I have placed before
My troubled soul, that they may receive Your pardon and rain down upon me,

6. So look upon one who has sought refuge prostrate at Your door,
And hearken unto him, and shelter him, for he is in need of shelter.
