1. Allah has watered the land of Ghouta and its people
So I have sorrows for southern Ghouta

2. I have not tasted the flavor of water except to heal me
To the coolness of Nirbene's water I yearn

3. My doubt about parting used to frighten me
So how can I be today when it is certain?

4. By Allah, I did not leave you, O my family
But what is destined shall come to pass
