1. O spirit of every gathering
And intimacy of every companion

2. Listen, for you are still hoped for
For every great matter

3. That we have attained
In the abode of a noble freeman

4. And we have everything with us
Except for maidens of vineyards

5. So send them from a place
Where gloom is dispelled

6. Radiant like torches
As in the prime days

7. We rest in the shade of a life
In its shadow and bounty

8. With Al-Rashid, but
At the invitation of the Wise Son
