1. A prayer of blessings from the Most Merciful as long as the crescent moon shines
Upon the Chosen One, his companions, and his progeny

2. I have unloaded my burdens at the door of Allah's Messenger
The rain I seek has come and my heaviness is lifted

3. I came to Allah's Messenger with choking tears
And sorrow on my cheeks and humility manifest in me

4. I came to the Prophet after long heedlessness
And my missteps and mistakes as if they were hills

5. And I strained my eyes upon a disgraced worldly life
So my Lord I hope for salvation and favor

6. I came with humility, brokenness, and reverence
Through which I hope for opening, uncovering, and attainment

7. An aid for the distressed and rain for the thirsty
Relief for tribulations that have grown long

8. Help me O sword of Allah, you are just
A weapon against afflictions and the state of my plight

9. Insomnia has wounded my eyelids and my youth has left me
Because of my weakness like a piercing arrow in the morning

10. I do not cease in repentance nor is that my way
And I do not fear reproach, gossip or words

11. I take refuge in the praise of the One God of the worlds
And since I tied the knot of love I have not feared scarcity

12. I was patient until it was said love would not be known
I drank the bitter separation from him until it came to me

13. And my God always pray, every moment
Upon the Chosen One whose guidance dispelled misguidance

14. And his family and companions through whom I hope for purpose
That which I love, my request and questioning

15. So I hope he grants the servants of Hashim
And my companions, children, clan, and progeny

16. Just as the peace of Allah whenever the dawn breaks
From the valley or from Najd wherever our love reached

17. And whenever the doves cooed in the bushes and the finches
Warbled upon the roses, enamored and longing.

18. Blessings upon the Chosen One as long as the crescent shines
And his family and companions, for them is every virtue
