1. If God let one be apart from a friend
Then may He let King Hind ibn Al-A'asim live

2. And every honourable man, when you meet him
Is quick to the caller of nobility and virtues

3. They are the white-footed, brocade-faced ones
Noble, even if the faces of the wicked are dust-stained

4. Nor does the thieving dog steal their shoes
Nor does the vermin pick that which is in the skulls
