1. I will not cease struggling
With unsolvable problems, except more appear
١. فَلاَ وَحَقِّكَ ما أَنْفَكُّ آوِنَةً
مِنْ مُشْكِلٍ قَطُّ إلاّ قَامَ إشْكالُ
2. No lesson occupies me
Without shades and colors manifesting
٢. وَلا يُفارِقُني دَرْسٌ أُزَاوِلُهُ
إلاّ وتَبْدُرُ أَشْباهٌ وَأَمْثالُ
3. No discourse flows from my quill
Without words trailing forthwith
٣. وَلا أُحَرِّرُ قَوْلاً عَنْ مَسائِلِهِ
إلاّ وتَعْقُبُهُ في الوَقْتِ أَقْوالُ
4. If in this I err, forgive me in your grace
No good in love untouched by doting
٤. وإنْ أَسَأْتُ بِهذَا فاحْتَمِلْ كَرَماً
لا خَيْرَ في الحُبِّ لا يَعْرُوهُ إدْلالُ
