1. Until when, O heavy with woe
Should one so wise bear patiently?
١. إلَى مَتَى ذَا الهَمُّ والغَمُّ
أمِثْلُ ذَا يُوجِبُهُ الحِلْمُ
2. You but a slave, by fate controlled,
Of your own self, are not the lord
٢. وأَنْتَ عَبْدٌ تَحْتَ حُكْمِ القَضا
لَيْسَ لَهُ في نَفْسِهِ حُكْمُ
3. So trust your fate; be well-assured;
He knows and orders all.
٣. فَفَوِّضِ الأَمْرَ وكُنْ واثِقاً
بِمَنْ لَهُ التَّدْبِيرُ والعِلْمُ
