1. After praising and saluting the best of caliphs
Taha, the master of all people

2. Verily, reporting singly for the sake of benefit
From one who is an Imam, not merely a follower

3. And was steadfast and trusted in transmitting
With true understanding both prose and verse

4. Accepting it is obligatory, following the proofs
That came in textual and implied meanings

5. As in the hadith of turning towards
The purified house, protected from defects and followers

6. He would kill in raiding the lands and shedding
Blood therein, for which he is blamed

7. And if he comes to us one day with a benefit
In any discipline, through an utterance of his, categorized

8. We say, we accept, even if no report comes to us
About it from another - uncertain or known

9. Regarding a Sunnah and the conventions of a group
Or in languages he transmitted without confusion

10. Unless it appears to the insightful that in this
Transmission there is delusion about a matter understood from it

11. Or that there was an error in what he transmitted to us
So what is it that he transmitted one day while infallible?

12. So strengthen your hand upon this, for in it is
The upright truth, despite those who refuse and are stubborn
