1. She came to me from the most noble abode
Like the full moon at its peak of perfection

2. Praise be to God for her virtues and knowledge
And merits established without affectation

3. O sincere advisor of kin and stranger alike
Your advice remains untainted by arrogance

4. O you of pure utterances, rather of pure essence
You are the loyal friend without equal

5. You strive for good in secret and openly
When unrecognised and when known

6. And you safeguard the honor of those
Whose repute the excessive slanderer tore

7. And you stand for the right of God, not seeing
In truth a means for excessive force

8. If you were to speak of your noble nature
Witnesses would testify without hesitation

9. My Lord, increase his virtues and merits
For he is the righteous among Your servants

10. O Sheikh of Muhammad’s family, I see
In you a treasure for the Day of Reckoning

11. So the prayer of Muhammad’s family for Muhammad
I have no doubt, is a hidden grace.
