1. When the disputants have concluded their contentions, and the brave warrior whose forehead is moistened with sweat, and whose mouth is stuffed with pebbles, puts out the fire of vain words, then
١. إِنّي إذا صَالَ أَقْيالُ الجِدالِ فَتىً
لا يُصْطَلَى لي بِنارٍ في الْكَرِيهاتِ
٢. مُعَرِّقٌ لجِباهٍ مُلْقِمٌ حَجَراً
أَفْواهَ أَبْطالِ أَرْبابِ الْمَقالاتِ
