1. Peace be upon the Pride of the Sublime, Muhammad,
Descendant of Ali from Quraysh, the knightly clan.
١. سَلاَم عَلَى عِزِّ الْمَعالِي مُحَمّدٍ
سَلِيلِ عَلِيٍّ مِنْ قُرَيْشِ الأَباطحِ
2. Nights pass by, no continuity between us,
To God I complain of what my innermost being conceals.
٢. تَمَرُّ اللّيالِي لا تَوَاصُلَ بَيْنَنا
إلَى اللهِ أَشْكُو ما تَكُنُّ جوَانِحي
