1. O Muhammad, you poor soul, be brief
For the world has played its tricks on you

2. And you have undertaken heavy deeds
Not knowing if they were good or bad

3. So thank again and again the one who showed kindness
And hid your flaws from your enemies

4. You were not left to weakness and incapacity
But favors have shielded you from calamities
