1. O my blaming soul
With every reprehensible trait

2. When will you become righteous
And with rewards, profitable

3. Are you not the soul of a scholar
Teacher of all worlds

4. It said, I am blameworthy
I blame the one with the flag

5. And my blaming is of no use
In my wakefulness and sleep

6. So I said, your blaming
Returns from you toward you

7. And you are the one intended
With purpose and will

8. Have you not heard their saying
In blaming yourself, hold your tongue
