1. Were it not for three things that are my utmost desire
My life would not have been so long in goodly measure

2. To spread my works for the benefit of mankind
Containing wisdom purely defined

3. To stop the oppression of the unjust aggressor
Who attacks the rights of the helpless lesser

4. To establish justice in every corner of earth
Unfailing, unopposed since the day of my birth

5. And if I attain these, it's by the grace of the One
Who gives without limit or sum
