1. Praise be to Allah in every state,
A praise that the length of speech falls short of.
١. الحَمْدُ للهِ عَلَى كُلِّ حالْ
حَمْداً يُقَصِّرْ عَنْهُ طُولُ الْمَقَالْ
2. He granted me what I am not worthy of,
Bounty and favor from the One of Great Majesty.
٢. أَنالَني ما لَسْتُ أَهْلاً لَهُ
فَضْلاً وطَوْلاً من عَظيمِ الجَلالْ
3. I cannot enumerate praising Him,
And thanking Him at all times and states.
٣. فَلَسْتُ اُحْصِي جاهِداً حَمْدَهُ
وشُكْرَهُ في كُلِّ حِينٍ وحَالْ
4. Praise, like the number of those who praise
And the number of pebbles and grains of sand.
٤. حَمْداً كَعَدٍّ الحَمْدِ مِنْ كُلِّ ذِي
حَمْدٍ وتَعْدادِ الحَصَى والرِّمالْ
