1. My blameless youth has passed away,
And losing it brought me no sorrow.

2. Pure of hems passed what made its clarity turbid
With a speck of cloudiness, never to be purified.

3. It passed judgment with a quarter of kind acts,
From positions that bring nothing but right.

4. Four branches of knowledge, or fields of benefits,
With which the goblet I turned was administered.

5. I teach my peers in schools with them
Lessons of new talk, or lessons of scripture.

6. And I spread among its regions some of my profits,
Whose harvests my closest companions reap.

7. Ask about my words—their beauty is sublime—
The master of highness whose every desire is pure.

8. Unique among the days in every goal
Which one driven by kinship's vigor sought.

9. So I became, despite the envious, in a position
Which my reckoning falls short of reaching its lowest extent.

10. One who veils the shining sun, its light—
Never has its buzzing harmed it one day.

11. The beauty of guidance completed your order's perfection,
Inclining affectionately from the wonderful address.

12. And here I am, having kissed it with my praises,
For myself, and praising oneself is a mirage.

13. If it be truth, it is unfulfilled,
If falsehood, it is the worst liar.
